OGUEBI

In the last two years, the College of West Africa Global Alumni Association (CWA Global AA) organized to connect alumni all over the world to provide support for our alma mater. The goal was to enlist classes to undertake projects that would assist the school with  much needed improvements. 

Update:

Originally, our class had planned to provide a generator but during the time we began the process of raising the funds, that project was completed by another class. We pivoted and with class approval, we would use the funds collected for a new project--providing wireless service for the school library.  We call our project Oguebi Wireless Information System (OWIS). 

The good news?  OWIS landed at CWA on October 5, 2023 and students are already  beginning to benefit from this service. We recently received pictures from the principal of students using the computers in the library.

We are grateful for the able team working to establish OWIS within the classic walls of CWA!!  Big thanks to our Coordinators, Elfrieda Stewart Tamba, Gloria Menjor and Lawrence Barchue, Technician, and Perry Bondo in Liberia. and Team USA members, Ngawa Anna Bright White and Dr. Camah Mulabah. Wonderful and new opportunities are opening for CWA students!
