Celebrating the Class of 1976

..

We honor and remember all our classmates who journeyed with us through high school between the 7th grade  and graduation. Along the way, some left on other educational journeys but we have always treasured the friendships we forged.

* In our Junior year, several of our classmates participated in the Student Exchange Program, traveling to the United States for their last year of high school. Although they did not graduate with us, they were very much a part of tis illustrious class. These students marked with an asterisk were members of the Student Exchange Program.

  College  of West Africa Anthem

Oh for a thousand tongues to sing,

College of West Africa.

Our Alma Mater's name to sing

College of West Africa!

We come thy grateful children all,

Pierian blessings to recall,

Our tributes at thy shrine now fall

College of West Africa!

Liberia's ssun doth o'er thee roll

College of West Africa!

Inspiring day by day the soul,

College of West Africa!

Let woods and valleys now awake,

Let rocks and hills their silence break

And join with us thy praise to speak

College of West Africa.

Thou aidest those who seek to know

College of West Africa.

The old, the young, the high, the low

College of West Africa

Pervading o'er these classic walls,

Suffusing thy historic halls,

Like gentle dew fair learnng falls,

College of West Africa.

The years may come the years may go

College of West Africa

But knowledge from the still will flow

College of West Africa

Through all the changing scenes of time

Posterity thy fame sublime

Shall hencforth waft from clime to clime

College of West Africa.

 Class Song '76

Through all the struggling years we spent

Within the so classic walls,

We knew within it was our intent

to succeed and no to fail.

Each year when the battle begin,

Our hopes of winning were high.

When Francis took our quiz papers,

We didn't let Alice pass us by.

Sometimes when the going got rough,

We planned to split and run.

We were caught in the hall by "COPS,"

And sent to sit on the "BENCH" . . .

But when encouraged by our parents,

And our devoted teachers,

We realized that it was our goal

To win and not to die.

We've climbed the steps to first landing,

And we stand today with pride,

Never forgetting for one moment,

OGUEBI.
